Crandon Fire Department expands services with new fire truck

The Crandon fire department welcomed a brand new fire truck to expand its services on Thursday, June 1. The shiny new Chevrolet HD 3500 four-door pickup truck purchased from Parsons of Antigo arrived fully equipped and ready to protect and serve.

According to the fire department staff the vehicle has a massive 6.2 liter engine and comes with a 250 gallon separate pony pumper on a skid designed to slide in and slide out along with a front power winch at a total cost of just under $80,000.
