The Niagara City Council recently approved a pay request for $248,636.51 from Cedar Corp., the engineering firm hired to oversee the sewer and water project that was completed late this summer.

The total estimated cost of the project in Niagara is approximately $2,110,939, which includes grants from the Community Development Block as well as the Rural Development Grant.

“We are in the process of paying all of the subcontractors now, and hopefully we will have that taken care of this month,” said George Bousley, Niagara mayor. “The work was finished a couple of months ago, but it’s all the little things that need to be taken care of that take so much time.”

Bousley is pleased with the overall work done on the long-running project.
