Forest County Potawatomi’s vision for their new transit project was “To increase mobility and access to services, social gatherings, employment, and entertainment thus improving the economic, environmental and overall health of the community.”
On July 24, the Forest County Potawatomi Community Transit System started their 120-day pilot program following the purchase of Hometown Trolley’s newest model, the Hometown Coach. The FCPC purchased the first 27-passenger coach built by the Crandon manufacturer. The successful pilot program ran a fixed and continuous loop through tribal and surrounding communities.
