NWTC gets USDA grant to help small businesses

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is offering the programming to residents of Kewaunee, Shawano, Oconto, Marinette and Florence who have a small business and want to grow.

NWTC’s Small Business Initiative is offering the program to help small business owners expand their business beyond the “first stage” or microenterprise or level. Qualifying businesses will have annual sales revenue under $1million dollars and fewer than 10 employees.  Businesses must be located in one of the following counties:  Florence, Kewaunee, Marinette, Oconto or Shawano. Up to 20 qualifying participants from each county will be selected to participate in this program. The series consists of one-on-one coaching with small business expert Michelle Madl-Soehren. Services will be made available face-to-face and online. Participants can discover the skills and talents needed for business success, identify potential gaps that might be stifling growth, and develop a plan for achieving their growth goals.
