Community collaborates to provide fresh produce at St. Vincent Food Pantry

The University of Wisconsin Extension, FoodWIse program works closely with St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry in Florence to provide direct nutrition education and increase access to healthful foods offered to pantry clients. The Safe and Healthy Food Pantries Project was introduced to St. Vincent DePaul by FoodWIse Nutrition Educator, Jeanne Richard. The Safe and Healthy Food Pantries Project and support from local partners served as a driving force for St. Vincent DePaul to seek additional ways to increase the amount of healthy foods offered at their pantry.
