Florence man pleads guilty to fourth offense OWI

Lawrence S. Bosworth, 58, of Florence, pled guilty to a felony charge of OWI fourth offense in Florence County Circuit Court on Tuesday.

One remaining felony charge of OWI and a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle with a revoke license was dismissed.

With three prior OWI convictions, one each in Florence, Milwaukee and Manitowoc counties, Bosworth faces $25,000 in fines and up to 13 years’ incarceration.

According to a criminal complaint, on July 31, 2017, Florence County deputies observed a vehicle stopped on Mud Lake Road in Florence County. After speaking with Bosworth, deputies observed an odor of alcohol on Bosworth and ran a routine background check.
