Town of Blackwell continues to protest sexual predator placement

Richard D. Ackley, Jr.

The Bear Lake Shores Association released information on February 16 that violent sex offender placement now has a “full blown” hearing on the association’s motion for a permanent injunction, set for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, February 22 at Shawano County courthouse, in front of Judge William Kussel, Jr.

Near the end of last week, the Bear Lake Shores Association President Joy Margetta had expressed her concerns about the waiting time to hear from Judge Neal A. Nielsen, III (Vilas County) for his ruling about whether or not he would allow the Town of Blackwell to intervene in the placement of Jeffrey LeVasseur.
