Old Forest County highway shop to be demolished

Dorothy Kegley

The Old Forest County Highway Shop will soon be a memory. The building sustained severe damage this winter when the heavy snow caved in the center of the roof of the building which had been used by Infinity Flooring for storage. The building will be demolished by Flannery Trucking & Contracting for a cost of approximately $55,000. The shop will be completely removed, including the concrete flooring, according to the City of Crandon Common Council on August 1. According to City Clerk Cindy Bradley, the project can be paid out of the TIF district funds.
