School board talks building plans, new textbooks
A start date of mid-August for work on school renovations was confirmed Monday night at the Florence School District Building and Grounds Committee meeting.
Craig Sachs from Miron gave the board an update on plans and on the budget.
“We’re mid-way through the process as far as defining the budget,” said Sachs. “We want to show you the top-line numbers so you can see where we’re at. The good news is we’re trending right on budget. A lot of times the dream list is bigger than the pocketbook, and we have to scale back, but that’s not the case in this situation.”
