Water service line replacement nearing completion

The town of Florence is one of 35 municipalities to complete a financial assistance agreement with the state that will allow the town to assist private property owners to completely replace lead service lines that supply water to homes, schools and day care centers.

Thanks to the Lead Service Line Replacement Funding Program for 2017, the town of Florence will receive $325,000 in financial assistance in the form of Principal Forgiveness (PF), which means that no debt is incurred on behalf of the municipality for these funds.
