Senior citizens in the town of Florence are abundant. Many walk on their own or with their walkers, some live in senior facilities, and some are cared for in nursing homes.
But there is one senior citizen who is virtually unstoppable.
Meet Antoinette Marie Toney, or ‘Toni Toney’ as she is more commonly known. Toney is a force to be reckoned with.
At the ripe age of 98, Toney is a sassy and highly intelligent woman. She lives in Chapin Heights apartments, but is rarely home.
Always on the move with the energy of someone half her age, Toney walks everywhere. She dines every day at the senior center in Florence, and her many hobbies include shopping, crocheting and knitting gifts to sell at craft shows, working in her garden, and baking treats to share with her friends.
