The 2017-2018 tax levy for the Niagara School District was approved on Monday night at its school board meeting.

The .00975 levy, up from last year’s .00933, amounts to a homeowner’s annual school property taxes of $975 for a $100,000 home, noted Nate Burklund, school superintendent.

“It increased slightly but not by much,” noted Burklund. “We also approved a new budget for the 2017-2018 school year.”

According to Burklund, the district currently maintains a comfortable working fund balance.
