Many community members attended the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at Forest County Courthouse Square last year. This year the lighting ceremony will include decorating of eight memorial trees with community ornaments on Friday, Dec. 1.

Bring the whole family and enjoy the sounds of the holiday season on the courthouse square in downtown Crandon on Friday, December 1. Festivities start at 6 p.m. The event will kick off with Christmas caroling while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies donated by the Gas Depot.
Erin Mayer, who represents the Forest County Ties That Bind Us said, “This year we are encouraging area community members to bring an ornament which will be placed on the memorial trees donated by the Packard family of Crandon in memory of loved ones.” Packard’s Tree Farm has generously donated eight memorial trees.
