Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company performed at Healthy Living Pow Wow on Nov. 30 in celebration of Native American Heritage Month.

Area schools experienced an up-close view of American Indian culture as part of the Healthy Living Pow Wow program which promotes healthy living and lifestyles targeting youth.
The Wabeno, Goodman and Laona schools were able to participate in a Woodland Indian style Pow Wow Friday morning November 30, as they gathered at the Laona High School gymnasium. During the Pow Wow, the various types of traditional Woodland Indian dances were demonstrated to the students and faculty and everyone was invited to come out onto the gymnasium floor and dance.
