Sokaogon Chippewa partners with Nicolet College to offer Native American Tribal Management education

The Sokaogon Chippewa Community joined with Nicolet College to host a special day of education for area students Friday, January 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Sokaogon tribal government center Mole Lake.

The focus of this event was for prospective students to gain information about earning a technical diploma in Native American Tribal Management. A series of college courses which include Fundamentals of Tribal Management; Tribal Supervisory Management and Advanced Tribal Management are now ready to be offered, to earn the diploma. Nicolet College member, Ellen Mathein, Business Management Instructor and Tribal Liaison Elizabeth DeVore, English Instructor, explained that these courses are designed to teach students transformational leadership, employee motivation and positive workplace development.
