Richard D Ackley Jr.

Thirty-one area groups and organizations shared a portion of the Sokaogon Chippewa Community’s annual casino gaming revenue on Monday, January 15 during a special morning reception at the Mole Lake Casino Lodge-Conference Center on state Hwy 55 south of Crandon.

A total of $84,332.98 was divided in varying amounts among local entities in three counties. This represents a portion of revenue generated by the tribal class III casino gaming operation. The revenue sharing took place during a special check presentation hosted by the Sokaogon Chippewa Tribal Chairman, Chris McGeshick and assisted by Mole Lake Casino general manager, Brian Tate. The reception was attended by representatives of each organization. Revenue sharing stems from an agreement between Wisconsin’s Indian gaming tribes and the State of Wisconsin.
