Kryder suspended pending outside investigation

Dorothy Kegley

The Crandon School Board, in a special closed session, last Thursday night made the decision to suspend Superintendent of Crandon Schools Dr. Douglas Kryder, with pay, until the investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department has been completed. This investigation is expected to take approximately three to four months according to one of the school board members.

The school board has decided to not use an interim superintendent at this time. According to Crandon School Board President Brain Tupper the school district is not required by law to do so. The principal, sub-principals and the business manager, Mr. Then will share the responsibilities.
