Sheriff’s Department investigates stabbing claim

On the afternoon of March 25, the Florence County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office they had received a 911 call from a male subject stating that he had just stabbed his wife to death. A few seconds later the dispatcher heard approximately six gunshots over the phone. The caller gave an address on Fischer Lake Pkwy in Aurora Township.

No evidence was found to support the statement made by the caller or that any crime had been committed.
