Committee works to identify most pressing courthouse renovation needs

The Forest County Executive/Building Committee hosted a brief tour of the old courthouse and the old county jail to show citizens the various areas which need to be renovated.

A crowd attended the Forest County Executive Building Committee meeting April 9 at 6 p.m. where the main topic of discussion was whether proposed costs for the Forest County Courthouse renovation are within reach. Committee members reviewed proposals from architect/engineer Wendel Associates.

Kurt Berner, Vice President of the Samuels Group, Inc the contractors, introduced David J. Cihasky, representing Wendel Associates of Eau Claire. Cihasky explained to the committee and citizens that it will take approximately three to four weeks to sort out the information obtained and dialogue with the county’s building committee.
