Fishing Fun

A beautiful day awaited a great group of children, volunteers, parents and guardians for the Kids Hooked on Fishing outing sponsored by KAMO at Lake Emily on Saturday July 13. The grounds were manicured, the fish cooperated, and the mosquitoes took the day off. A highlight of the event involved the making of discarded fishing line containers to be placed at county landings to keep the unused line out of the waters and will be recycled. Special thanks go out to Whistlers Outdoors for donating the bait, Land Conservation Department for their goodies, our financial supporters, and the fleet of boat captains from Lake Emily who take everyone out fishing.
