Four more drug arrests in Wabeno

On Thursday, January 23 at approximately 1:05 a.m. the Forest County Drug Task Force made a traffic stop in the Town of Wabeno. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kristen Kozlowski, 35, of Laona, the front seat passenger and vehicle owner was identified as Shandon Tallier, 41, of Laona.

The Forest County K9 Unit was deployed, and K9 Leroy gave a positive indication on the vehicle. Detectives searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine, syringes and drug paraphernalia.

Tallier and Kozlowski were taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kozlowski was also arrested for a probation violation.

At the Forest County Jail, correctional staff, Crandon Police Department K9 Raider and detectives found a half ounce of methamphetamine located in Koslowski’s person that she turned over to detectives.

On Monday January 27, detectives executed search warrants in the Town of Laona at the residences of Kozlowski and Tallier. Searchers found more methamphetamine, digital scale, packaging materials, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine manufacturing materials.

Tallier and Kozlowski are both in custody in the Forest County Jail on $20,000 cash bonds.

On the afternoon of Sunday January 26, the Forest County Sheriff’s Office made a stop in the Town of Wabeno for a motor vehicle violation. The driver and passenger were identified as Wabeno residents Carl Gerdeen Jr., 25, and Sharain Armstrong, 26.

The Forest County K9 Unit was deployed and K9 Mec gave a positive indication on the vehicle. Deputies located heroin and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Gerdeen and Armstrong were taken into custody for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gerdeen was also arrested for a probation violation.

On Wednesday January 29, Gerdeen and Armstrong appeared in Forest County Circuit facing a felony count of possession of narcotics.

Armstrong was released on a $2,000 signature bond and is due in court for a preliminary hearing on February 13. Gerdeen, Jr. was assigned $2,000 signature bond but refused to sign and remains in custody on a probation hold in the Forest County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 19.
